Kuppels SOLID 20 cm review
A 20 cm knife that names its steel — X30Cr14 chrome-vanadium — and states a full tang running to the end of the handle, which is more than most knives at this price publish.
The bottom line The named steel tells you what to expect: forgiving, easy to sharpen, and needing it more often than a harder blade.
What you are getting
A 20 cm chef’s knife in hardened chrome-vanadium steel, stated as X30Cr14, with a full tang running from the tip to the end of the handle.
What the steel tells you
X30Cr14 is a corrosion-resistant grade with moderate carbon. In practice: it sharpens quickly, it comes back on a honing steel readily, and it will not hold an edge as long as a blade stated above 58 HRC.
Full tang, published
The steel continues through the handle. That is the construction that survives force on a heavy knife, and it is the sort of detail that usually appears only further up a range.
What is missing
A hardness figure. Without it, the steel grade is the only guide to edge retention, and this grade suggests frequent honing rather than long intervals.

Questions people actually ask
What kind of steel is X30Cr14?
A chromium stainless grade with a moderate carbon content. It resists corrosion well and takes an edge easily; it does not hold that edge as long as harder Japanese steels do.
Is a full tang important?
On a heavy Western knife used with force, yes — it spreads the load at the join. On a light knife it matters less, and it is still a sign of how the knife was built.
